Easy Rider-Sweet Iron Low Ported Barrel Bit by Reinsman
6" Cheeks, 5 _" Mouth. The Sweet Iron Low Ported Barrel is a great mouthpiece for the horse that does not respond well to tongue pressure. The width of Reinsman's ported barrel provides plenty of room for the horse's tongue to pass underneath, and when engaged does not rotate onto the tongue. This bit works primarily off of bar and lip pressure with some poll and curb involvement. Sweet iron naturally rusts into a light patina. The rust creates a sweet taste for the horse, making the bit more acceptable and increasing salivation for a supple mouth. The 6" swept back cheeks make this bit fairly soft; and the combination of the ported barrel and the swiveling cheeks make it easy to isolate each side of the horse's mouth. Reinsman's Golden Glide bushings further enhance the smoothness of the independent cheek movement allowing for more precise cues. This style is preferred by reiners as a transition bit, and by trail riders, but the versatility of this bit makes it a great choice for any style of riding.
